UN reopen offices in Islamabad amid fear of suicide attacks

Fikret Akcura, UNRC in Pakistan announced the reopening of UN offices in Islamabad from today (Monday). His order to reopen offices in Pakistan comes while there are still security threats in Pakistan, but the decision to reopen offices in Islamabad, as Fikret puts it: - " was made to address the escalated crisis of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Malakand division".

While Fikret orders only essential personnel to come to work, and the rest to keep their movement limited, still UN has failed to order all non-essential staffers out of the country and declare highest security alert in the country.

Being politically correct with a corrupt government like the one of Pakistan, and putting at risk UN personnel and their immediate family members is irresponsible.
