This event will consider the findings of a recent paper on Chinese aid. Co-published by Publish What You Fund and the Centre for Chinese Studies at Stellenbosch University, 'The Transparency of Chinese Aid' explores the amount of aid-related information made available by the Chinese government. With the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness fast approaching, there is renewed focus on whether governments will meet their commitments on aid transparency. Following China's release of its first foreign aid report earlier this year, the panel will discuss whether this marks a change of direction, and will look at the opportunities for integrating Chinese aid information with that of other donors.

Tea and coffee will be available from 12.00, with the event starting at 12:30.
