The decision by the U.N. Dispute Tribunal vindicates more than two years of legal struggle on my part to obtain justice from the U.N. System. My family has suffered enourmous hardship and strain as we have tried to make the U.N. system live up to its own rules and procedures.
Judge Ebrahim-Castens has simply told UNDP and Secretary -General Ban Ki-moon to do what Ethics Office Director Robert Benson deliberated after reviewing the report of Nemeth Committee on June 2008. At that time, Secretary-General Ban said publicly that he supported the position of Mr. Benson (Ban's Spokesperson Statement in 1 July 2008 on Benson report). Now it is time for him to show leadership and that he meant what he said. I hope that he will do so immediately.
